Big Thief vocalist/guitarist Adrianne Lenker has detailed her fifth solo album, Vibrant Future, which shall be launched March 22 via 4AD. The most recent monitor to emerge from it, “Disappointment As a Reward,” is a vintage-sounding, drum-less acoustic ballad beamed straight off a backwoods entrance porch from a bygone period.
Vibrant Future was co-produced by Lenker and Philip Weinrobe, the latter of whom additionally labored on Lenker’s 2020 album songs.
