As FRANCE 24 marks the one-year anniversary of the protest motion sparked by the dying of Mahsa Jina Amini, we converse to documentary filmmaker Mina Keshavarz – one of the many Iranian artists who’ve been jailed for his or her work. Her 2020 movie “The Artwork of Residing in Hazard” follows a gaggle of legal professionals and activists as they struggle towards home violence, shining a light-weight on Iran’s long history of women’s resistance. Keshavarz says that whereas she is aware of that this motion did not occur in a single day, it has each stunned her and given her hope.
