The Venice Biennale: Redressing the post-colonial balance through art




On this episode of Arts24, Eve Jackson takes you to Italy for the oldest and largest cultural exhibition in the world – the Venice art Biennale. The breathtaking floating metropolis hosts the Olympics of the art world each two years. It’s the unique biennale on which others in the world have been modelled. The sixtieth version opened in April and runs till November. In that time it would welcome round 800,000 guests, who flock to see the work of the world’s greatest artists multi functional place. With greater than 85 international locations represented, the metropolis’s gardens, palaces and monuments are overflowing with art, remodeling the metropolis into a huge museum.
